Our priorities for Norwich

Large diverse group of students studying together in library

Our aim is for all young people in Norwich, regardless of background, to fulfil their potential and access the opportunities available to them.

This means that children should be well prepared to start school by 5, achieve their full potential while at school and college, and be sufficiently well informed to make ambitious choices about their futures.

To achieve this we have prioritised:

  1. Improving early speech, listening and language
  2. Raising attainment through targeted support and development for teachers and school leaders, and supporting children at risk of exclusion from school.
  3. Providing the information and support young people need to move from education into work.
